Content and Brand Specialist - Atlanta Drive GC
Position Summary
The Atlanta Drive GC Content and Brand Specialist will oversee content and brand marketing across the team’s properties. The role will require a robust knowledge of content creation and management of social media channels, creating compelling content around the team, content calendar, posting of content to the website, and real-time production. The role will also require brand marketing acumen in paid media, event planning, and influencer marketing. This person will be required to shoot and edit their own videos (photography acumen is a plus), with a variety of short-term and long-term deadlines.
This position will be working closely with other members of the Atlanta Drive GC team as well as AMBSE Brand & Digital Partnerships and Creative Services. The role will require travel between Atlanta and Florida throughout the TGL season.
Our ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in social media strategy and/or digital content production with at least 1-3 years in brand marketing experience. Familiarity with the game of golf is essential, and previous experience in sports and entertainment is preferred. This person must have a fan-first mindset, a strong understanding of social and digital marketing campaigns, and the ability to develop any analysis progress toward key social KPIs. This role requires a candidate with excellent creative, organizational, and communication skills, as they’ll be working cross-departmentally with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee Atlanta Drive GC social media channels, including X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Post content to AtlantaDriveGC.com, working in conjunction with TGL and AMBSE digital teams (the ability to be on camera is a plus)
  • Plan and execute Atlanta Drive events.
  • Cover Atlanta Drive GC matches and events, creating real-time social media coverage for all social channels.
  • Coordinate with on-air talent on content creation schedules and strategies
  • Shoot, edit, and post content while collaborating with the video production team on long-term projects
  • Maintain Atlanta Drive GC content calendar, capitalizing on TGL tentpole events while engaging our digital audiences on non-event days
  • Lead paid social efforts to grow the audience
  • Manager influencer outreach and collaboration
  • Collaborate with the AMBSE creative team to ensure a consistent look across social and digital channels.
  • Work closely with the AMBSE digital team on website direction, web updates, and content strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with other AMBSE businesses (PGATSS, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, Mercedes-Benz Stadium) and their social and content teams to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Cover Atlanta Drive GC events (in-season and offseason)
  • Analyze and report on digital and social metrics, informing key stakeholders on departmental KPIs
  • Assist with some minor communications needs as it pertain to media on event days
  • Offseason support for AMBSE digital/social verticals as needed
Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • 4-5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital strategy, or related field
  • 1-3 years in brand marketing and/or paid media experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, sports management, social media, journalism, marketing or related field
  • High level of comfort communicating with marketing, digital, and content leaders across the company
  • Passionate about social media and content creation – storytelling is paramount
  • Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Travel to TGL matches is required
  • Ability to multitask and manage various projects and the goals of multiple departments
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization across media, marketing, community, sponsorship, PR, and football/soccer operations
  • Team player who thrives in projects that involve multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of social and digital media best practices,
  • Experience using social media management systems (Emplifi preferred)
  • Experience using a content management system to update digital properties
  • Experience managing the needs of a large organization that requires social and digital to meet the collective needs of cross-functional departments
  • Experience within a large media or sports property, with an understanding of core revenue
    generating processes
  • Understanding of what content generates engagement and excitement on social platforms,
    particularly with younger/emerging audiences
