POSITION SUMMARY

USA Lacrosse is looking for someone to join our team as a Coordinator, Partnerships & Advertising.  In this role you will provide administrative support to the Strategic Partnerships and Retail teams, supporting all aspects of the partnership and advertising sales processes.  You will be the front line for confirming the execution of all deliverables according to respective agreements to ensure each partner and advertiser who works with USA Lacrosse is having a positive experience and getting the best possible return on their investment (ROI).  The Strategic Partnerships team is continually working with USA Lacrosse's partners and sponsors to build relationships and ensure they feel valued, have an exception experience and gain return on their investment; you will get to play an integral part in all of that.

A Typical Day Looks Like…

  • Prepares presentations (i.e., PowerPoints) and meeting materials to represent USA Lacrosse in a professional and high-quality persona to ensure a successful presentation and impression of USA Lacrosse.
  • Provides assistance to the Strategic Partnership team on sales presentations, renewals, and other related efforts to set USA Lacrosse and the partner up for a successful working relationship.  
  • Organizes and maintains the collection, placement, and tracking of digital ads on the USA Lacrosse brand and magazine websites.  This includes ensuring all ads are properly branded and include all components of the advertising agreement.  This also includes following up with advertisers and partners to ensure we have their ads/assets by the necessary deadlines.     
  • Assists with tracking and entering monthly opportunities/prospects, as well as maintaining data on current partners and advertisers in Salesforce.
  • Serves as lead on updating and maintaining all deliverables, setting reminders, and monitoring/uploading proof of performance in Trak. 
  • Manages the strategic partnership team calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, conference calls, creating agendas, taking notes at meetings, and coordinating any other necessary information/materials.  
  • Conducts fact-finding research to assist with category development, inventory development, and the exploration of new sponsorship opportunities and trends to support the Strategic Partnership team to increase partnership and advertising revenue for USA Lacrosse.  This includes conducting industry related research to stay current on cutting edge trends and best practices.    
  • Serves as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned event specific sponsors (i.e., the USA Lacrosse Experience, Brogden Cup, etc.).  This includes, but is not limited to, direct communication with sponsors/partners, managing marketing deliverables, including pre-event and on-site fulfillment, in collaboration with the Events team.
  • Working closely with the SR Account Manager, helps plan partner hospitality events, including pre-event receptions, clinic involvement, and other meetings to build and develop strong working relationships with our partners and sponsors.  This includes attending events as necessary to host partners and attendees.   
  • Serves as the liaison for the Strategic Partnership team with internal USA Lacrosse departments, external constituencies, and partners, as well as the public, to ensure everyone is meeting all necessary obligations and deadlines.   
  
Is This You…

  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative support and/or sales support role.  Previous experience working in a sponsorship, advertising, and/or strategic partnerships environment a plus.
  • Previous work experience in a non-profit, association, or other member-based organization a plus.  
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). 
  • Google Ad Manager and Salesforce knowledge a plus.  
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to develop and build relationships and maintain engagement with internal and external customers.   
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and follow up skills.  This includes the ability to organize tasks according to organizational priorities.    
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid (in-office/remote) work environment in a fast-paced, “roll up your sleeves” environment to deliver results. 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and understand how to handle confidential information when necessary.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to present a professional, customer-focused persona over the phone, in writing, and in person.    
  • Ability to be flexible with your work schedule, including the ability to work some nights and weekends based on USA Lacrosse events.   
  • Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need to develop, grow, and fuel the growth of the sport with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind.  
  • Ability to align with USA Lacrosse’s Mission, Vision, and Values and strategic plan to support its initiatives and organizational goals.  
 
Expected Hours of Work

This position is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and occasionally requires longer hours or weekend work as related to events and other business needs.  This is a hybrid position and works from the headquarters office in Sparks, MD three (3) days a week with the flexibility to work from home two (2) days a week.  
 

Travel Requirements

Travel may be necessary up to 10% of the time (local, regional) to support USA Lacrosse events.  Travel would involve the following mode(s) of travel: car, train, or air.  Some out of area and overnight travel may be expected.
