The Waterloo Black Hawks are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and creative individual to join our team as Director of Sales. The Director of Sales will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of both the ticket sales department and the corporate sales department. Additionally, you will work closely and in conjunction with the President of Business Operations on the overall management of all departments in the office.
 
The Director of Sales is extremely proficient in sales through cultivated relationships with local organizations and companies. This individual would seek to develop business relationships to gain revenue by selling packages to Cedar Valley businesses, fans, group outings, etc. This person is expected to be a leader not only in the office but throughout the entire community.
 
The ideal candidate should have industry-related experience, will be highly organized, and can work well under pressure. They must be detail-oriented and have exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with sponsors, front office staff, and arena personnel. 
 
Essential Functions
•         Generate revenue using all sales methods, including face-to-face appointments, cold calls, prospecting, and networking.
•         Manage relationships with various accounts to exceed established sales goals; Conduct high amounts of new business meetings and outreach daily.
•         Help process and fulfilling ticket sales orders as needed.
•         Handle and complete single-game ticket sales, including phone sales.
•         Interact and provide customers with answers to questions and resolve ticketing issues via phone, email, and in-person.
•         Coordinate and assist with ticketing projects such as invoicing, season ticket holder fulfillment, etc.
•         Set up price codes, promo codes, fees, and offers via Igniter Tickets.
•         Attend team, community, and other events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities. 
•         Promote the sale of season tickets, group tickets, and corporate sales.
•         Provide prompt & continuing service and be a client liaison to all ticket holders.
•         Fulfill any role assigned by the company, whether sales based, administrative in nature or otherwise.
•         Forward facing leadership role within the company, community, and organization.
•         Work closely with arena staff to ensure proper set up for Black Hawks events, including but not limited to tickets, sponsor needs, game production, etc.
•         Work closely with the Hockey Operations department to ensure their needs are met including but not limited to training camp meals, staffing, postgame, meals, etc.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•         Experience working within the sports or entertainment industries.
•         Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Google docs and sheets; ability to learn required business systems.
•         Must be able to work game nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the calendar year.
