The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team that are a member of the Frontier League a, “Partner League” of Major League Baseball.

 The Crushers established in 2009 are based in Avon, Ohio and their home stadium is Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Including 11 suites, four-person terrace tables, berm seating, picnic and patio areas for group outings. The stadium has artificial turf, concession stands, team shop, state-of-the-art sound system and video board. Avon is 20 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio and part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. 

The Role
The Crushers have an opening for Director Of Food and Beverage that will be responsible for daily operation of our concessions, premium suites, and catering. This role will oversee all Food and Beverage operations for Crushers games, non-game day events  and Crushers Stadium. It will be responsible for leading the area in inventory controls, maximizing profits and providing overall exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, in the mindset to enhance the fan experience and drive revenue. This position will be an integral part of our management team

 Responsibilities:
  • Developing staffing needs, recruitment and training of team members. 
  • Ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
  • Develop and execute foodservice and catering business plan and strategy.
  •  Develop and monitor KPI's to measure success.
  • Inventory management to include: daily, weekly, monthly inventory tracking  and ordering product.
  • Responsible for presentation, pricing, purchasing, inventory accounting, labor and cost controls.
  • Maintain vendor relationships to achieve savings and partnership goals.
  • Maintain point of sale and inventory controls.
  • Create strategic and innovative in park programs and incentives to increase F & B sales.
  •  Conduct research on best practices within the industry.
  •  Additional duties as assigned.

 Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Servsafe Manager Certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience in food and beverage operations- Preferably Concessions.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of food and beverage preparations, and service standards. 
  •  Excellent communication skills.
  •  Strong computer skills.
  •  Strong motivation skills and a self starter.
  •  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  •  Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
