Title: Amusements Supervisor

Summary:
Werner Park has many amusements areas, which include the following: Centris Family Fun Zone, Carousel, Boystown Pediatrics Wiffleball Field/Basketball Court, MoJo Speed Pitch, and several inflatables. The Amusements Supervisor is responsible for overseeing these areas during Omaha Storm Chasers & Union Omaha games. Some special events may be required, but will be communicated in advance. All members of the Werner Park event staff are required to work at least 50% of Werner Park Events in 2024.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist with the setup and breakdown of inflatables in the Centris Family Fun Zone.
- Supervise and assist with the setup and breakdown of the Carousel, MoJo Speed Pitch, and Boystown Pediatrics Wiffleball Field/Basketball Court
- Accountable for cash bank and wristband inventory
- Meet with a member of the front office staff before each game for a game day briefing
- Lead a pre-shift meeting for Amusements staff before each game to review pertinent information for the game (such as promotions, group outings, etc.)
- Be attentive to medical injuries requiring first aid assistance and document event incidents
- Mentor gameday staff and escalate personnel incidents to management
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Comfortable working with children (previous experience is a plus).
- Organizational skills; detail-oriented, ability to work accurately, efficiently, and courteously in a fast-paced environment
- Good leadership and training skills; ability to teach others as well as delegate tasks
- Good communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with guests, and retain and communicate service information
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat
Working Conditions:
This job operates in an environment located at a ballpark. This job may require long periods of standing. This job occasionally requires light lifting and moving of fixtures. Performance of this job may require exposure to extreme weather conditions.
