REX Baseball is a collegiate summer woodbat team in the Prospect League in Terre Haute, IN. The team was founded in 2010 and has been a fixture of Terre Haute and the surrounding areas ever since. REX Baseball has an all-time record of 430-335 and has won the Prospect League Championship twice (2015 & 2018). REX Baseball provides training for students who want to have a career in the sports industry. Proven track record of advancing interns to MiLB, MLB, NFL, and NHL teams. Our interns have gone on to work for the Indianapolis Colts, the Miami Dolphins, the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, the Indiana Pacers, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Detroit Redwings, the PGA, the Evansville Thunderbolts, the Charlotte Knights, the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and the Los Angeles-based running company, the McCourt Foundation. REX Baseball will give you the experience to get where you want to go!
Do you want to get experience in the Game Day Operations of sports? Then the REX Baseball Game Day Operations Internship is for you! You will work in multiple areas of Game Day Operations including Merchandise, Game Day Program Sales, Ticket Sales, Customer Service and so much more! Working with REX Baseball will allow you to gain valuable sports experience while working in a fast-paced and fun environment.
This internship is only available to college students looking for UNPAID college credit or experience to help their resume stand out amongst others!
Below is a description of the internship:
- Must work all 30 home games and potential playoff games during the 2024 season
- Would want you to be in Terre Haute by May 26, the report date would be May 29 (subject to change)
- The season runs from May 31-August 14
- We do have a cheaper housing option available
- Assist in pre-season set-up and post-season teardown
- Assist in pre-game set-up and post-game teardown/clean-up
- Assist with pre-game bag check for fans entering the stadium
- Assist with guest relations on game-days
- Assist in Merchandise Sales (Selling apparel, game day programs, and souvenirs to fans)
- Maintain fan relations through excellent customer service
- Must be knowledgeable in all facets of game-day information, including but not limited to stadium policies, ticketing policies, and any other policies that affect stadium/event management
- Assist in cleaning duties post-game, including trash
- Opportunity to be Manager of the Day for a game
- Assist in other areas as needed
