The Revenue and Insights Specialist will support teams across LEARFIELD by providing research, data, and insights for various strategic purposes, including client sales presentations, corporate research projects, and various fan engagement initiatives. As part of the role, the Specialist will work closely with their Manager and regional points of contact to identify areas of opportunity to assist on projects and requests.   

 

Job Duties:

  • Provide insights & analytics for use in client pitches, ultimately increasing multimedia property revenue and supporting sales team endeavors
  • Complete research requests using 1st party and syndicated research resources to source and analyze data.
    • Exercise discretion in resource and data point selection for use in projects
    • Utilize Excel/Tableau to analyze data and create charts as graphical representations of the data
    • Prepare customized reports, infographics and presentations for sales teams based on client objectives and review research slides with sales team prior to presentation
  • Transform survey data into meaningful research insights for various stakeholders, including sales teams, internal departments, and Athletic Departments
  • Stay abreast of sports sponsorship industry trends, analyzing market data to identify emerging trends and opportunities to drive future revenue initiatives
  • Utilize third-party prospecting resources to complement sales efforts, providing valuable insights to the sales field
  • Lead training efforts associated with prospecting and research capabilities to enhance team proficiency
  • Maintain regular communication with business leaders to assess the effectiveness of sales practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Address day-to-day inquiries from sales and management teams regarding data and research needs, providing timely and accurate support

 

Skills & Qualifications:                                                                                   

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports or business-related field or minimum of 2 years’ experience in a research/insights and/or data analysis role
  • High competency level on computer and software skills compatible with job responsibilities, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CRM, Tableau, YouGov, and Nielsen is a plus
  • Proficient in utilizing research and insights resources, with a deep understanding of sports sponsorship inventory and activation strategies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data and insights through compelling narratives and visualizations, coupled with verbal presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong critical thinking capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and quality in all deliverables
  • Professional conduct within and outside office while conducting agency business
