We are excited to hire a Facility Operations Assistant! The Facility Operations Assistant will report directly to the Director of Operations and be responsible for performing organizational tasks associated with the operating of team headquarters, including processing Facilities Department invoices, assisting with small and large facility renovation projects, scheduling onsite contractor visits, and coordinating with facilities staff. This position was created to support the Facilities and Operations Departments as well as provide an opportunity for a recent graduate and/or for an individual that is just getting into facility management. 
 
Responsibilities Include:
Assists within organizational tasks at team facilities by:
  • Assisting the Director of Operations with planning of facility projects, renovations, construction, and scheduling contractors. 
  • Assisting with inspections of facilities and report any maintenance or operational issues to facilities department team.
  • Coordinating with the General Maintenance Tech/Senior Facility Maintenance Coordinator to maintain an organized electronic and hard copy storage system for all department service contracts, quotes, certificates of insurance, warranties, and any other applicable documentation.
  • Filing of facilities department hard copy documentation related to project documentation, equipment, and all applicable department administration.
  • Assisting in contractor and vendor walkthroughs on facility grounds as well as help contractors/visitors get signed in and started in proper areas. 
  • Acquiring a firsthand understanding of our HVAC, BAS, and scheduling of preventative maintenance. 
  • Assisting other staff in the operation and substitution of equipment throughout the facility.
  • Assisting in organization of the shop, storage areas, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and warehouses. 
  • Understanding the flow of the facility, timelines, access, and protocols of the facility. 
  • Attention to detail by helping with upgrading and researching innovative technologies. 
  • Assisting with furniture orders and repairs.
  • Support artwork, signage, and board requests for entire facility.
  • Assisting with internal/external events using the facility.
  • Giving tours to special guests as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

Contributes to department team efforts by:
  • Communicating regularly with department management and staff to provide constant updates of any issues or concerns which may be present
  • Monitoring and tracking actual expenditures versus planned budget expenses. 
  • Assisting in snow removal, as necessary.
  • Assisting with installation of Centura Health Training Center décor, including but not limited to site banners, graphics, and pictures.
  • Assisting with Training Camp operations including but not limited to planning, set-up, tear-down, etc.

Performs administrative tasks of position by:
  • Assisting with facility invoicing, coding, recording, and submitting to KwikTag. 
  • Ability to learn computer-based CMMS software (FMX) to document and track all work activities, time, and materials.
  • Supporting the identifying and documenting of equipment and building structures in need of repair.
  • Aiding with work orders and other required documentation so that it is completed in a timely fashion.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management or a similar degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in professional and/or collegiate sports (preferably football). 
  • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • Experience with common tools and equipment normally used in carpentry, masonry, warehousing, or general construction.
 
Preferred Skills and Ability:
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain it within 60 days.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Verbal and written ability to provide correspondence and status or maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to utilize smart phone to document and receive work orders.
  • Ability to be certified in forklift, scissor lift.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to understand basic construction terms and requirements.
  • Read, write, and communicate English.
  • Outstanding work ethic, professionalism, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Initiative-taking with excellent organization and planning abilities.
  • Works well in a team setting as well as independently. Ability to adapt to department needs and supports all department and organizational goals.
  • Greater than average oral and written communication skills with ability to maintain strong documentation.
  • General knowledge in all areas of facility maintenance / construction.
  • Great logic, problem solving, and project organization skills.
  • Ability to observe and pay attention to details crucial; ability to work very well under pressure.
  • Effective communication and people skills are important. 
  • Proficient in Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar computer software. 

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary for this role is $46,000 - $50,000. This is a non-exempt position that will be eligible for overtime. This position will be required to work flexible hours including weekends, early mornings, evenings and holidays outside of a normal working hours as needed.  

This position will be located at the Denver Broncos Training Center in Englewood, CO.
