The Washington Commanders are hiring an Events Intern who will be responsible for assisting with execution of Special Events and Major Stadium Events at Commanders Field.
Major duties and responsibilities:
- Assisting with execution of Special Events and Major Stadium Events under the direction of Event Manager
- On-site major event support
- Assisting fans & guests at events by providing knowledgeable information & helpful assistance
- Brainstorm and collaborate with departments enhancing guest experience strategies and special event projects
- Create event timelines and logistic maps
- Support as manager on duty for events
- Complete 1-2 intern department projects during the internship for skillset growth
- Manage Fantasy Football Frenzy event from conception to completion
- Lead as gameday MOD for one home game this season, overseeing pregame hospitality events
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in college or a recent graduate
- 1 year of experience working in either events, operations, or marketing
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on assigned tasks
- Ability to work all Commanders home games
- Passion for sports and live entertainment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience working with Microsoft office
- A professional demeanor with the ability to interact with our fans, professional athletes & executive front office personnel
- The ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work well in a fast paced and team environment
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Collaborative team-player with well-developed interpersonal skills
