The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are looking for Game Entertainment Interns for the 2024-25 season. Interns will have the opportunity to learn how live sporting events are put together from planning to execution. This internship will teach skills such as Adobe Creative Cloud, partnership activation, and event planning.
Responsibilities
- Execute all Penguins game entertainment elements including but not limited to finding contestants, executing promotions, distribution of giveaways, arena setup and tear down.
- Clip and edit game footage for archival purposes
- Create/edit gameday graphics
- Assist in creation of gameday scripts
- Represent the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins brand
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Local applicants preferred.
- Junior or senior in college, pursuing a degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related fields. Candidates must earn college credit for the internship.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, basics of Adobe Creative Cloud software including Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
- Strong communication skills
- Position requires flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some late nights as dictated by the home game schedule and event nights.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
