General Manager - Parking and Traffic Services
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
Exempt. Benefits and bonus eligibility.

General Summary
The General Manager’s primary objective is to serve both the needs of staff and clients. The position requires a strong understanding of all aspects of event-based parking operations, sales, staffing and effective team building.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
o    Lives the company Mission by championing it in all interactions with staff, clients and patrons.
o    Leads with a sense of service to supervisors, front line team members and coworkers.
o    Is responsible for all sales efforts to onboard new clients and to increase parking opportunities.
o    In constant pursuit of identifying and following through on best practice adoption.
o    Dedicated toward revenue maximization by ensuring events are fully staffed with Argus employees.
o    Demonstrates ability to select, develop, mentor, train, and implement great management teams.
o    Understands the specifics of Client contract(s) and manages to ensure contract compliance.
o    Works in conjunction with the scheduling/admin team to produce effective staffing outcomes.
o    Position to office from corporate headquarters though work in the field will be expected as necessary.
o    Manages the team to the (position specific) weekly billable expectations.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
o    Must have a minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience.
o   Minimum of 2 years in parking operations in a leadership role. 
o    Understands and models leadership and professionalism in actions, dress and grooming.
o    Must be pragmatic, organized and detailed. Has the capacity to “think” and “do”.
o    Must be computer literate and have strong understanding in ABI, Google Docs and Microsoft Office. 
o    Proven record in business development and building teams and departments. 
o    Sets the pace. Moves at a nice clip and enjoys having multiple projects going all at once.
o    Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
o    Must maintain Flagger Teacher Certification and all other Argus required trainings.
 
Physical Demands of the Job 
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephone and copy/scanning devices. Is capable of moving about the event site(s) before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates with a sense of urgency via cell, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
 
Psychological Demands 
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in a leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in a prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.
 
Working Conditions 
The essential functions of this position are performed both indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during events, depending on the manager’s location, and minimal during non-event times. Fast paced environment in parking lots during event days. Longer hours/days are necessary. Frequently required to work, evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
