Position Summary:

The Programming and Sales Coordinator will coordinate and sell all events and initiatives vital to the success of Programming Department at the LA Galaxy Soccer Center in Torrance, CA. The Coordinator will execute the sales plan of all community focused events including Galaxy Camps, Clinics, Tours, Fantasy Camps and Tournaments. They will also find new opportunities for the LA Galaxy to become the preeminent purveyor of soccer in the Southern California landscape.   

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Programming team with the development of new soccer programming to deepen and expand the impact and participation in LA Galaxy soccer programming by confidently communicating information about current programs, actively identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the department’s mission every day.
  • Execute strategies that seek brand and revenue growth across Programming by building relationships and executing strategies with program purchasers and soccer partners through systematic and meaningful contact including outbound calls, out-of-office face-to-face appointments, personalized letters, matchday seat visits, customized emails, prompt responses to inbound calls, and other program related events.
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals as determined by the Department, creating lead lists and identifying new markets for Programming growth and reach.
  • Work closely with Amateur Soccer and Season Ticketing Teams to cross sell Programs and generate new revenue referrals through up-selling, cross-selling, and uncovering account referrals.
  • Promote positive guest relations, making every effort to accommodate any guest’s reasonable request with the highest standards of courtesy, respect and efficiency and coordinate and direct incoming department inquiry calls, general information calls and internal department requests on behalf of the Programming Department.
  • Assist at Programming events to ensure successful and meaningful contacts are made, supporting operations such as match day booth coverage, check-in and acting as onsite contact when necessary.
  • Enact a strategic vision, provide continuous feedback and propose business solutions for department platforms and initiatives, including but not limited to, the registration platform, communication processes, and administration processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred)
  • 2 - 4 years of sales and event related work experience preferred  
  • Commitment to the mission, vision and core values of the LA Galaxy 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercising good judgement 
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with other departments 
  • Experience with working with youth (ages 6-18) 
  • Strong knowledge of youth soccer landscape in Southern California  
  • Proficient in account management database systems and ability to learn required business systems 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook 
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly motivated, with a positive attitude  
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently 
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred   

Pay Scale: $19.56 - $28.53
