CENTRAL PARK BOATHOUSE

This historic building started over 150 years ago as an area to explore and rent rowboats, and over the years it has evolved into a landmark restaurant. This iconic space will continue to hold catered events, restaurant services and rowboat rentals to its millions of visitors each year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- General understanding of plumbing, refrigeration, electrical and carpentry.

- Perform general maintenance and repairs in various areas, including plumbing, refrigeration, electrical and carpentry.

- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems.

- Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.

- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, and landscaping.

- Coordinate with contractors about repairs.

- Perform routine electrical repairs and installations such as changing or replacing light bulbs, repairing ballast and light fixtures.

- Perform routine plumbing repairs and fixing water leaks.

- Perform other maintenance related tasks such as painting, masonry, assembling furniture, hanging pictures, bulletin boards, etc. Help move furniture as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong knowledge and ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair various equipment and machinery.

- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices to ensure proper upkeep of venue.

- Ability to maintain a high level of customer service while addressing maintenance requests.
