THE ROLE   

As Vice President/Director of Finance, your key responsibility will be the overall administration and leadership of Legends Global Merchandise finance and support team.  This role will evaluate, select, and manage the delivery and effectiveness of all financial transactions while providing strategic direction and leadership for critical analysis, financial reporting, systems, regulatory compliance and business process decisions that leverage all Legends Global Merchandise assets to meet and achieve expectations.

 

This position will have a key role in the smooth running of all financial transactions and stakeholder experiences.  This position is committed to playing a pivotal role in building a successful future for our business. You will work with all internal departments and stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of financial management including cash flow, the budget process, monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP, financial forecasts, inventory management, A/R & A.P cycles, sales tax and business license compliance, risk management, audit management and financial modeling come together to deliver highly accurate financial information designed to maximize the profit and successful outcomes for Legends Global Merchandise.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Establish vision, strategy and tactical initiatives to enable for the finance team to meet and exceed business requirements and we are built for a high growth environment
  • Lead, develop, and build a cutting-edge cross-functional team specialized in highly skilled finance functions including A/R & A/P cycles, treasury management, financial reporting and forecasts, reconciliation of G/L accounts, compliance, systems support, inventory, risk management, safety and asset protection.
  • Track, analyze and monitor client and internal department performance key metrics and data
  • Review, analysis, oversight, management and approval of LGM division expenses, investments and budget support preparation.
  • Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product suitable, relevance and cost-efficiency standards are achieved.
  • Interact regularly with executive team and individual department heads to ensure that company’s financial goals and priorities are aligned and achieved with the established total company direction.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and presents suggestions to Executive team for consideration.
  • Lead and set planning for any/all cash flow, budgets, and forecast including settlements with special events such as WWE, Super Bowl, Soccer, College Games and Concerts.
  • Oversight and management of the Finance Department supplies, equipment and software.
  • Approves, Writes, edits and updates Finance Department documents including Policies & Procedures, Month End Close Schedule, and management of special projects.
  • Uphold and execute the established financial standards.
  • Prepare budget, cost analysis and forecast all LGM division capital expenditures
  • Issues regular status reports to the Executive Management team
  • Other duties and projects as assigned and directed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A minimum of 10-15 years running a full vertical financial management, ideally within sports retail industry
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of management of finance or accounting team of 5 or more employees
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and CPA or MBA preferred
  • Excellent influencing skills to support needs of the internal and external stakeholder teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint core skills
  • Inventory systems and ERP Implementation experience a plus
  • Must be available to work extended hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with internal and external stakeholders across many domestic and international countries

 

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $200,000-$230,000 + Bonus
