About the San Jose Earthquakes: 
The San Jose Earthquakes have a mission to establish our home as the epicenter of American soccer by uniting Northern California with big dreams, big hustle, and big impact.  We are seeking new Quakes University Rookies who are passionate and hard-working individuals, looking to join an innovative 12-month front office training program. 

About the Position:
The San Jose Earthquakes are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to join an innovative, 12-month front-office training program. This is a paid, part time position with a potential for future full-time employment. The first 6 months will focus on ticket sales, while the 2nd half of the program will be spent in another department to gain knowledge and exposure to the rest of the organization. The purpose of this program is to expose individuals to multiple aspects of a professional sports team front office.

Successful candidates for this position will want to launch a career in the sports industry, to gain their sales skills, and to grow an understanding on the workings of a front-office. Program Specifics:
Months 1-6:
  • Receive training on best practices and sports ticket sales strategies.
  • Actively prospect potential ticket buyers via phone, email, and in person meetings.
  • Sell Quakes season and group ticket products.
  • Make 75+ outbound phone calls a day.
  • Lead stadium tours to prospective ticket buyers.
 Months 7-12:
  • Rookies will be matched with another department determined by their career preferences and fit, based on skillset and departmental needs.
  • Responsibilities may include: 
    • Support efforts to attract new or maintain existing sponsors.
    • Assist in marketing and sales campaigns.
    • Support Quakes community outreach programs.
    • Help with the operational planning and execution of game days and other stadium events.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with academic success OR a 2-year degree with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Passion to succeed as a professional in the sports industry.
  • Work game days/events, nights, and weekends. 

Rate: $19.00/hour
