TITLE: Head Equipment Manager, NWSL

DEPARTMENT: Soccer Operations
REPORTS TO: Director, Team Operations & Player Affairs 

FLSA: Full Time; Exempt

 

WHAT SETS YOU APART 

The Head Equipment Manager will work closely with the Director, Team Operations & Player Affairs in performing a variety of tasks supporting the NWSL team. The Head Equipment Manager will provide dedicated support on a day-to-day basis from an equipment and team operations perspective. This position requires substantial hours of work to maintain a professional equipment operation for a professional sports team.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Collaborate with the Director, of Team Operations & Player Affairs in budgeting, ordering, and inventory management of team equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising and Marketing teams to create an effective sharing of ideas, and communications alignment with the NWSL, and to support equipment requests as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the respective equipment contacts at the NWSL and with the NWSL’s equipment partner to align communications and ordering requirements.
  • Oversee all aspects of Team Kit Management (laundry, repairs, creation, inventory, etc.).
  • Oversee all aspects of Game Day and Training Equipment Preparation (locker room prep, field prep & breakdown, etc.).
  • Maintain locker rooms and work environment for players and coaches.
  • Assist in the field setup, transition, and breakdown for both practices and matches.
  • Monitor the inventory system to track all items out/returned.
  • Plan and implement a packing strategy for all road games.
  • Document and oversee all player requests and prepare and distribute training, match uniforms, and additional attire for players and staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic team player.
  • Well-organized and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and have a sense of accountability.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish/Portuguese is preferred but not required.
  • Able to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
  • Able to work productively under pressure and be consistently proactive.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the sport of soccer and NWSL is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and all Microsoft Office applications.
