The Company Bloomberg Sports is a division of Bloomberg LP, the leading global provider of financial data, news and analytics. The Bloomberg Sports Baseball service for professional baseball teams provides unprecedented access to the depth of minor and major league player statistics down to the pitch-by-pitch data, and the service for consumers provides analytics that visualize data and make fantasy statistics more accessible. The Role Bloomberg is seeking energetic interns with a sports science, sports management and/or statistics background to assist with sports research and analysis work for the summer or fall sessions. The incumbent will research sports data, trends, analytics and news on all levels from high school to pro. Additional responsibilities include taking part in sports data analysis and developing content for use in news and/or blogs. This is an immediate summer and/or fall hire with starts dates throughout June 2010.
