JOB DESCRIPTION 
Summary/Objective 
The Manager, Email & Website Marketing serves the Marketing department. Their focus is the execution of email, messaging, and website marketing assets for USA Football’s products and programs. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, email production, list management, website structure (SEO, sitemap, etc.), website analytics, team collaboration, and potentially SMS Marketing.
 
They should be comfortable with common email and website marketing tools and service providers. They should have an intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS and other email best practices. They need strong quantitative skills and experience with list logic, data management, and Excel. They need to stay up to date on the latest laws and regulations regarding messaging rules, including email (CAN-SPAM), SMS, and additional related areas. They should have a strong grasp of retargeting through customer journeys and other marketing platforms.

  • Heavy focus is on email marketing, including list management, email layout/development, CAN-SPAM (or similar) compliance and deliverability best practices and requirements
  • Owns the email process from inception to send to data analysis 
  • Provides technical digital marketing support to the Marketing team 
  • Supports content marketing calls to action and provides support for web ad management
  • Handles day-to-day list management and unsubscribes in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other appropriate tools
  • Serves as an email and web page layout expert, laying out and designing for multiple platforms including mobile
  • Manages the email calendar for all sends and builds, and maintains customer journeys through various channels
  • Leads SEO, website optimization, campaign tracking, customer funnels and other marketing initiatives with the Director, Marketing & Advertising  
  • Handles technical aspects of email and website, including customization, personalization and A/B testing protocols 
  • Cleans up and combines lists through Excel and/or other tools 
  • Champions proper external messaging through appropriate email service provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and other appropriate tools
  • Helps with other marketing initiatives including customer surveys, brainstorming sessions within immediate and other internal teams, and presents findings to internal group
  • Analyzes data and makes sure proper tracking is setup through Google Analytics, Fullstory, and additional platforms 
  • Handles reporting on emails and web ads

Required Education and Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-4 years of experience in email marketing, 2 years in website management 
  • Solid understanding of CAN-SPAM and other list management regulations 
  • Self-starter mentality and able to take assignments and run with them
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency using project management tools 
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Plus: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, AMPScript and/or SQLPlus: Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
 
As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $58,674- $93,726 
 
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility 
This position may eventually manage contractors, interns and/or employees. Project management includes directing the project-related activities of the project team members.
 
Work Environment 
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and video conferencing.  
 
Physical Demands 
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, and manual dexterity.  
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a full-time remote position.  This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work. 
 
Travel 
5-10% annual travel is expected for this position. 
 
Salary
We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Salary range: $58,674- $93,726, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
