SECOND SHIFT SECURITY DISPATCH OFFICER 
3:45pm - 12:00am

General Responsibilities:
To ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment for all United Center Team Members and guests by monitoring assigned areas.

Specific Duties:  (include but not limited to)
  • Create a safe and secure environment for guest and employees.
  • Monitor CCTV
  • Monitor door alarms
  • Monitor alarm systems
  • Operate dispatch communications via email, telephone, radio, and P.A. system.
  • Report unsafe and unpresentable circumstances within the work area.
  • Have superior knowledge of facility services and physical layout.
  • Guest complaint resolution.
  • Incident report documentation.
  • Facility policy enforcement      
  • Customer service skills
  • Inspect and screen employees, contractors, media bags, etc., using hand held and walk through magnetometers
  • Standing at post, walking through the facility, and lifting items 
  • Using security vehicles for patrols and posts
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to fully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must have weekend and holiday availability.  Must be a positive, outgoing individual able to work well with large groups of people.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills.  Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Security, military, and or law enforcement experience strongly preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software related to the Security field
  • Perc card preferred

  • Required to stand or walk at least 7/8 of the work shift.
  • May be required to use their hands, stoop, kneel or reach with their hands up to 1/3 of the work shift.
  • May required to lift up to 10 pounds up to 1/3 of the work shift.
  • Vision requirements are color vision and the ability to focus.

  • The work environment has moderate to loud noise level.
  • Individual may be required to work in outdoor weather condition for 2/3 or more of the day.

Education: High school graduate, GED, or technical school; or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
