The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270+ events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events. Job Summary

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the Athletic Training and medical services to LV Phantoms players, staff, and hockey operations staff.  Working within the Flyers Performance Model, in conjunction with Flyers Head of Performance Health and VP, Athlete Performance and Wellness. 
  • Work with Head of Strength and Conditioning, and other Phantoms staff, to provide best in class performance services to Phantoms players. 
  • Apply protective or injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces with responsibility for overseeing a range of therapy and recovery modalities
  • Provide manual therapy to players as part of preventative, maintenance programs, and injury reduction.
  • Perform administrative tasks.  Proficient in AHMS EMR’s and documentation. Writing reports on injuries, communication with management and coaches. 
  • Responsible for packing all medical supplies for road trips, coordinating with equipment manager and assisting with loading equipment.
  • Attends all games (home and road) and practices, overseeing any medical issues that arise and directing any necessary response.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specification

  • Five years’ experience working within professional or elite sports environments.
  • Proven experience working within a high-performance team, showing collaboration, ability to work within a team, and drive for continual improvement.
  • Experience in leadership roles within sport, particularly dealing directly with coaching and performance staff. 
  • Experience of self-drive to work independently to solve problems, illustrating initiative and expert-thinking in various domains
  • Evidence of a wide range of therapeutic methods and relevant certifications
  • Ability to attain board certification in PA and NJ within 3 months (PA certification within 4-weeks is required).

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
