The Wells Fargo Center is one of the world’s busiest arenas, home of the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Villanova University basketball, Philadelphia Wings, family shows and concerts. Since opening in 1996, the arena is the centerpiece of sports and entertainment in the greater Philadelphia region as well as prominently featured in the national spotlight. The 21,000-seat arena is a showcase arena for the company’s industry-leading qualities as an operator and an innovator in the live event experience. 
 
The Wells Fargo Center is currently seeking a Building Services Post-Event Assistant Manager who will be supporting the Operations department.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge and experience with a large group or team dealing in a fast-paced quick changing environment primarily overnight.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and inventory control systems.
  • Self-motivated and responsible. Must be able to work independently while in constant communication with fellow departments across all shifts in a 24-7-365 environment.
  • Knowledge or the ability to learn equipment and cleaning chemicals. 
  • Having the ability to professionally communicate, speak, and give directives to subordinates while always remaining professional.
  • Detailed mindset towards creating a picture-perfect product for our patrons.
  • Ability and willingness to work beyond traditional business hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends and select holidays.
  • Ideal candidate is a well-organized professional, capable of handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and exercising independent judgment.
  • Eager to learn and grow as a professional.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure all post-event cleaning tasks are completed and verified.
  • Communicate detailed instructions, information and directions to supervisors and team members in a primarily unionized environment.
  • Manage NBA, NHL, and event cleaning protocols with 100% completion.
  • Perform daily/nightly cleaning inspections of arena.
  • Provide support and supervision to all direct and indirect reports.
  • Following policies and procedures with a keen eye for system improvements.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to evolving technology.

Intellectual/Social Demands:
·While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame.  This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with management, staff, clients and guests.

 
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, company issued cell phones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. 
 
Work Environment:
The essential functions of this position are usually performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.
