GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The LA Memorial Coliseum (LAMC) Account Manager works directly with the event manager and the venue management team to manage and implement event operations for the LA Memorial Coliseum (LAMC) and its associated properties (Exposition Park).  This position serves as the principal liaison and event manager for LAMC and its host client, the University of Southern California (USC), and all other affiliated event activities as designated by LAMC. The account manager is responsible for developing and managing client relationships at all levels to facilitate a successful partnership.  This role will understand all facets of the current contract to ensure bilateral compliance and seamless execution of services. When LAMC is inactive, the account manager will assist other venues or events as directed by the branch operations team. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties below reflect the minimum requirements for this position.
  • Interfaces with clients or other team representatives to identify and establish project needs.
  • Must attend planning and coordination meetings.
  • Works with the client services manager to determine project feasibility. 
  • Develops staffing plans, cost estimates, deployment documents, WISH job creation, or other resources needed for event operations. 
  • Provides briefing information to all employees assigned to each event or project. 
  • Must be able to manage over 100 supervisors and staff responsible for event crowd management activities.
  • Prepares all paperwork, ensures uniform and equipment requests are submitted, and completes all assigned tasks as planned.
  • Will be present at all major events, with the ability to mitigate any potential issues that may arise.
  • Coordinates various event operational planning timelines to ensure client deadlines are met.
  • Create, manage, or edit event manager continuity plans, venue operation manuals, standard operating procedures, or other policy driven mandates and guidelines. 
  • Responds as necessary to inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and programs involving event manager activities.
  • Identifies legal requirements and government regulations regarding training functions to ensure policies, procedures, documentation follow local/state/federal reporting processes. 
  • Manages weekly calendar of events occurring within the region to coordinate resource allocation wherever necessary. 
  • Travels to various job sites to provide event support.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees at events or as a project lead, in conjunction with on-going stated objectives or event needs.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Some responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling employees to assist in their individual growth and success.   Provides performance evaluations, resolves conflicts, and ensures optimum utilization of all resources (people and material).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree: five years of related work experience, three years of general related experience in security and customer relations, crowd management, military, law enforcement, TSA or other government related experience is helpful; or any equivalent combination of the above mentioned will be considered.   

REQUIRED SKILLS
General knowledge of computer operation, Microsoft Office Products; Must become proficient in company Workforce Management System. 
Ability to maintain good client/customer relations and work in a team setting.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, applicants, customers, or organization. 
Possess good verbal/written communication skills and people management skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment and make sound decisions quickly. 
Work necessary hours needed to complete job preparation in addition to event hours. 
Walking significant distances, including up and down stairs, as required to roam throughout the venue. 
Complete mandated industry trainings as assigned. 
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
As a nationwide organization with involvement in many of the world's premier events, the CSC Los Angeles LAMC Account Manager may be asked to travel to other branch locations and provide management assistance for such events. Some common annual events include the Coachella Valley Music Festival, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC), NFL Playoffs, and various conventions. All travel is paid for by CSC.
