Overview

The catering bartender is responsible for the set-up, execution, and breakdown of banquet events. The ideal candidate is professional, personable, adaptable, and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. We ask our employees to maintain excellent attendance and availability to work events as scheduled per business need.

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.50

 

For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

Responsibilities

 Must demonstrate ability to meet the company caliber for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers and comply with uniform and grooming standards.
• Responsible for serving plated meals to guests and/or replenishing food and attending stations or buffets with the knowledge of what they are serving guests, paying specific attention to any dietary needs.
• Responsible for serving beverages to guests including tableside wine service and optionally the ability to set and tend a standard bar.
• Responsible for assisting in unloading and loading of any equipment, products, or goods at the event venue.
• Must maintain a clear and organized workspace and be ready and willing to assist fellow team members.
• Must maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of experience as a server in a fine dining, large scale dining facility or similar field preferred.
• Committed to offering exceptional hospitality.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to multitask.
• Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Desire to learn and grow in a professional working environment.
