Overview

This position is committed to providing World Class Service for all Cross Insurance Center events.  The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events.  Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights.  The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate between $15.50 to $18.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for assistance from CIC staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
  • Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned
  • Conducts building safety inspections (Normally pre-event and post event safety checks)
  • Admits building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
  • Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
  • Protects Arena equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
  • Provides regular security functions within the Arena and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
  • Responsible for clean, neat appearance with complete CIC Security Uniform.
  • Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
  • When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the CIC facility
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Events, Event Managers and/or Guest Service Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work Cross Insurance Center events as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Must have earned or can earn valid CPR certification
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
