Overview

The Marketing department is looking for a creative, outgoing, hard-working, dependable, independent thinker who has the desire to work in marketing and is excited to support the BOK Center marketing initiatives. The individual will learn about marketing for a wide range of events

 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $12.50. 

 

For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

 

This position will remain open until December 31, 2024

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in hospitality and event management by working with industry professionals and assisting with various marketing tasks. More specifically, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain website content management experience: Learn how to update the website with relevant information, such as event calendar, blog posts, video content, advertising and sponsorships, photos, and special announcements.
  • Develop skills in using marketing systems such as the digital signage program to display sponsorship activations, event-related information, citywide information and/or venue information.
  • Acquire customer service skills by communicating with clients and uploading and maintaining digital advertising/sponsorship content
  • Learn about B2B social media marketing and develop skills using BOK Center's Social for posting on the BOK's social media channels.
  • Practice monitoring social media platforms, developing content for posts, and capturing the attendee experience through videos or photos during show-days.
  • Participate in weekly marketing department meetings and assist with planning, tracking, and reporting marketing activities.
  • Gain skills in developing marketing materials, presentations, reports and research.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University, Preferably in a Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Hospitality Management program.
  • Previous digital and social media marketing experience preferred (school, internship, or professional).
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and carrying 50+ lbs. and occasional sitting.
