Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of events, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in equipment setup, and the ability to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

 

This role will pay an daily rate of $275.

 

Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

 

This position will remain open until Sept 30, 2024

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute event setups and breakdowns, ensuring all operational requirements are met.

  • Coordinate logistics, including transportation of equipment and materials.

  • Oversee forklift operations and manage electrical and plumbing setups as needed.

  • Train and supervise temporary employees on food handling, menu knowledge, and event specifics.

  • Provide consistent guidance and leadership to ensure smooth event operations.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster beneficial business partnerships.

  • Deliver exceptional service and respond effectively to client feedback and requests.

  • Plan and assist with truck and trailer transportation logistics.

  • Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for trucks and trailers.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of trailers during tours and breaks.

  • Adhere to USDA regulations and coach team members on safe food handling practices.

  • Stay informed about trending diets (Keto, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian) to accommodate client preferences.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in forklift operation and general knowledge of electrical and plumbing setups.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of effective event planning and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with USDA laws and regulations regarding food preparation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility to work long hours on feet, up to 15 hours per event.
