Overview

Under the Operations Manager supervision, the Operations Supervisor is responsible all changeovers and housekeeping during events. Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Operations Manager with capital improvement projects, maintenance, event management and human resources, policy and procedure formation and execution.

 

This role will pay an hourly rate between $22 to $29.

Responsibilities

  • Assume management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of event setup, teardown and custodial
  • Select, train, motivate and evaluate changeover and cleaning staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures
  • Ability to follow written instruction, interpret AutoCAD drawings and blueprints
  • Assign appropriate staff to accurately and efficiently set-up, tear down all event needs
  • Effectively communicate with each shift the necessary tasks that still need to be completed
  • Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors, etc.
  • Maintain changeover equipment
  • Enforce all changeover policies and procedures
  • Supervise work assignments of temp conversion crew
  • Assist in direction of all work projects of the department.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in facility operations preferably with a sports facility, convention center or other multipurpose public assembly facility
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and possess superior interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
  • Possess a working knowledge of audio / video and information technology systems preferred
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift 40 lbs., unaided.
