This position is responsible aiding the Ticket Office Manager in day-to-day operations. Primary responsibilities include focusing on generating sales via outbound phone calls for Spring Training games at the Peoria Sports Complex, home of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. This is a seasonal position starting mid-Fall, running through the Spring Training season (end of March). Sales focus includes but not limited to: season tickets (renewals), season tickets (new business), group tickets, single game tickets, and fundraising groups. The Ticket Sales Operations Assistant is expected to provide exceptional customer service to season ticket holders, groups, and single ticket buyers.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in day-to-day ticket office operations including, but not limited to, part-time staff scheduling, event set-up/take-down. 
  • Develop and execute signature theme night during spring training. 
  • Generate, develop, and maintain new and ongoing business and sales relationships, consisting of a full inventory of ticket products (Season ticket renewals, new season ticket sales, groups, and single game buyers).
  • Develop and execute fundraising agreements through existing fundraising ticket program.
  • Provide in-person and telephone customer service for digital tickets, seating and schedule inquiries.
  • Provide professional customer service to patrons and clients.
  • Perform work through team's ticketing database, Tickets.com, to support necessary ticket sales, service and operations tasks.
  • Assist in selling and payment processing on accounts for tickets (season, single, groups).
  • Have full knowledge of all game day policies, procedures and stadium facts.
  • Act as point of contact for clients on event day; resolve issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provides supervision to ticket sellers, assisting in ticket sales as well as trouble-shooting customer service issues. Acts in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Ticket Office Manager.
  • Prepares daily cash deposits on game day.  Maintains accurate and balanced window ticket sales and workstation banks for necessary reconciliation.
  • Additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Has previous customer service, computer, sales phone experience, cash handling and balance experience preferred.
  • Has excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Has the ability to work well with other and comfortable taking initiative
  • Has the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Requirements:
  • Experience: No minimum experience required. One to two years of sales experience preferred.  Previous ticketing experience a plus.
  • Education: Minimum education, high school diploma. Degree in sports business, related field, or degree-seeking professional preferred. Certification/License/Other Requirement:

Salary:    $16.72/hr
