The Akron RubberDucks is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong culinary knowledge to lead the production efforts of their Food & Beverage Department.  The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, cutting edge ideas and the ability to work well with a team structure. Culinary background with multi-unit experience in a large event or sporting venue is preferred. This person will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen areas within the organization including staffing, managing, menu & recipe development and product ordering.  They will also be responsible for leading a strong safety & sanitation program throughout the ballpark.  In addition to RubberDucks home games, there are catering events which are scheduled at the ballpark during the year.  This role is responsible for meeting with potential clients, reviewing menu options and producing the food for these events. 

Responsibilities
• Oversee culinary operations in all areas of the ballpark: suites, group hospitality areas, concessions, and a seasonal, full-service restaurant.
• Create menus for events that are focused on creativity, product quality and revenue while adhering to established budget. Work with approved vendors to ensure pricing is in accordance with any contractual commitments.
• Schedule and manage employees’ time to effectively meet the needs of the event schedule.
• Develop and train all kitchen staff, ensuring that they are maximizing efficiency throughout the course of their shifts.
• Responsible for game day and event execution, inventory, cleanliness and creating a positive work environment.
• Establishing standard operating procedures with a focus on safety & sanitation for all culinary operations to ensure phenomenal product quality and presentation.
• Responsible for the overall cleanliness, repair and maintenance of kitchen equipment and storage areas for product.  Ensure proper year-round maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of all cooking equipment.
• Manage food quality, costing and ordering for all events. Follow all guidelines in accordance with Ohio state requirements enforced by the health department. Evaluate all products for quality & pricing and work with Director of Food & Beverage to determine menus for upcoming season through product research and analysis of past sales of previous items.

Requirements
• Proven experience in menu creation, food preparation and kitchen operations that drive positive results and align with business goals.
• At least two years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have good leadership skills, customer service and proven ability to manage a large seasonal culinary team.
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• The ability to work nights and weekends.
