The Reading Fightin Phils Internship is a great learning experience. Upperclassman and recent college graduates have the opportunity to get directly involved and gain hands on experience in various aspects of Minor League Baseball. The associates work directly with the front office staff to get an overview of all of the different positions. The Fightin Phils internship is a paid position with a monthly stipend.
The Event Center intern will operate the extra events that are booked in the stadium's brand new Redner's Event Center. The Redner's Event Center features a large event space that can host functions for 500 people. This internship will provide experience in managing and coordinating events for clients ranging from conferences and banquets to weddings, birthdays, and fundraisers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the event space for upcoming rentals.
- Attend meetings with the front office members to plan the events schedule.
- Implement the events being held at the Redner's Event Center.
- Work as a customer service representative during events.
- Assist people who call in, inquiring about rental opportunities.
- They will also develop and participate in promotions team activities aimed at generating public awareness.
This internship has a rolling start beginning in November.
