Ticket Sales and Services: Ticket Sales Management
This position requires an organized, detail-oriented and personable applicant who wants to work with a first class professional baseball organization in hosting 48 home games and a variety of special events. The candidate should be a hardworking, team-player who is seeking an opportunity for growth. The Box Office Manager will be tasked with overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the ticket office. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the distribution and fulfillment of all tickets pertaining to plans, groups, individuals, etc.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the Glitnir ticketing system.
  • Run all aspects of the day to day operations of the ticket office, including taking orders, fulfillment, printing and distributing tickets (Full Season, Mini Plans, Flex, Group, Picnic, and Single Game tickets).
  • Fulfill individual game ticket orders in person, on the phone, and online.
  • Fulfill and update Group Contracts accurately as they are submitted.
  • Help in the adherence of Ticket Office policy with respect to customer service and other ticketing issues.
  • Answer incoming calls regarding ticket sales and general information.
  • Maintain an account database utilizing the Glitnir system.
  • Manage data entry and database management for specific ticket promotions.
  • Identify and execute marketing strategies using database of consumers
  • Manage Inside Sales initiatives by identifying & reaching out to potential/new plan holders and group clients based on data collected and reaching a pre-determined sales goal
  • Assist with building price codes, ticket plans, promo codes, and other Glitnir programming needs
  • Support Sales and Service staff with order processing, payments, and mobile tickets
  • Maintain accurate and up to date game and event itineraries 
  • Train and supervise 10-15 Game Day/Special Event Box Office personnel and provide necessary training and information to ensure that Box Office staff are well informed and properly trained regarding policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to fans at all times
  • Assist in the set-up, trouble shooting and maintaining events in Glitnir Ticketing System
  • Work in coordination with the Sales, Marketing & Sponsorship Departments to build offers/promotions on Glitnir
  • Assist with the accurate reporting of all daily receipts through transactions in the Box Office and for Premium Sales to Director of Finance.
•     Assist with the reconciliation of the daily receipts report and submit it to Finance.
  • Completing all other duties as assigned by the President, General Manager and Assistant General Manager
 
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students or individuals seeking entry into or growth in the sports industry. 
  • Previous Ticket Office experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor in the face of adversity.
  • Ability to be at the stadium long hours including night, weekend and holiday events.  
  • Self-motivated without needing constant direction. 
  • An organized and goal-oriented individual.  
  • Must have basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic with a desire to learn through hands on experience.
  • Must be a team player with leadership skills.
