Position Summary:
This position manages the coordination, gathering and processing of data and video from a variety of sources as it pertains to international scouting and player evaluation. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the acquisition of data and video at international amateur workouts, including the management and coordination of our Wahoo contractors in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela. 
  • Process video, from both internal and third-party providers and upload to our internal systems for viewing by evaluators. 
  • Conduct video/id matching to enter pitch-by-pitch/game videos in BATS. 
  • Providing basic charting statistics based on player data. 
  • Work with Trackman and Rapsodo data to provide visual representation within our internal systems. 
  • Work with third-party data and video providers to ensure the proper delivery and processing. 
  • Provide recommendations to the leadership team as to the best way to use and process data and video. 
  • Participate in a variety of international scouting meetings, both in person and via zoom. 
  • Consult with the leadership group by providing evaluations of players based on data/video while advising as to how to improve our use of data and video within the evaluation process. 
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Understanding of editing video files. 
  • Understanding of various baseball technologies, including Trackman and Rapsodo data. 
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English (fluent in one; minimum intermediate in the other). 
  • Advanced computer proficiency with basic understanding of SQL. 
  • Ability to travel throughout Latin America. 
  • 24/7 access to high-speed internet connection. 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of BATS.
