Thank you for your interest in an internship with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. It is our goal to provide you with hands-on experience and knowledge useful in competing for jobs in the baseball industry, beginning with Summer Collegiate Baseball.  We will also work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary.  Our internships are a great learning opportunity where previous experience is not always necessary. The Rafters are a part of the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate league located in the midwest. Each summer the Rafters host 36 games at Historic Witter Field and bring in over 35,000 fans through the gates.

Position Overview:

The Clubhouse Operations Intern will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all clubhouse activities during the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters' baseball season. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports management, event coordination, and team operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Clubhouse Management: Assist in the day-to-day management of the clubhouse facility, including maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring compliance with team policies, and managing equipment inventory.
  2. Player Support: Provide support to players and coaching staff by assisting with equipment setup, laundry services, and ensuring that all player needs are met.
  3. Game Day Operations: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of pre-game and post-game activities, including running TrackMan during the game.
  4. Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and inventory management of team equipment, including uniforms, bats, balls, and other essential gear.
  5. Player Services: Serve as a point of contact for players regarding clubhouse logistics, transportation arrangements, and other related inquiries..

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of a college or university program, preferably in sports management, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience baseball operations preferred, but not required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during the baseball season.

Duration & Compensation:
This is a 3 month (Mid-May through Mid-August) summer internship position. Compensation and academic credit options can be discussed during the interview process.
