The Wausau Woodchucks are seeking a qualified individual to assist in the retail and ticket commerce operations for the upcoming season as the Omni-Commerce Merchandise Intern. This position will gain hands-on experience in all areas of merchandising and retail operations, including but not limited to merchandising, omni-commerce, buying, inventory management, analysis, and customer service. Our Retail & Merchandising Intern will ensure that all fans have a great experience with their Woodchucks orders. They will also assist in the pre/post-season set up of the stadium retail store. This summer internship program runs from mid-May to late August. All interns must be available for each home game, along with any additional events assigned throughout the season. 
 

Responsibilities Include: 

·       Monitor online orders to ensure that all are fulfilled within 24 hours if placed on a business day, or on the next business day if placed on a weekend
·       Ensure all post-purchase communication includes all relevant information for the customer
·       Confirm the consumer-experience for pricing, quality, item-selection, etc. is consistent across all purchase mediums (in-store, web, mobile, etc.) for optimal purchasing behavior
·       Maintain high visual presentation of deliverable items when applicable
·       Perform bi-weekly inventory audits to ensure physical and online inventories match
·       Develop promotional calendar in conjunction with game-day events for driving incremental sales opportunities
·       Work within Square POS software to set up online and in person commerce
·       Analyze online sales trends and provide sales recaps by homestand
·       Work with Ticket Service team to ensure online ticket package orders are handled appropriately and aid in a seamless transaction experience
·       Provide excellent customer service to our fans and customers
·       Game day staff management
·       Forecast item level and monthly demand to create a high-level plan for the off season and 2024
·       Ability to step into game day staff roles as needed
·       Assist in pre/post season clean-up of the ballpark 
·       Other duties as assigned 
 

Required Skills:

•      Capable of taking direction to complete assigned tasks 
•      Ability to delegate tasks to game day staff 
•      Knowledge or experience in areas of retail and ecommerce preferred
•      Analytical and excel skills for forecasting
•      Proficient in math
•      Must be self-motivated, organized, and have great attention to detail 
•      Ability to be decisive and problem solve in high pressure situations 
•      Ability to multi-task 
•      Excellent communication skills 
•      Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and reach 
•      Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
