JOB TITLE: Corporate Partnerships Design Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Partnerships
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Corporate Partnerships
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Partnership Design Specialist will support the Corporate Partnerships team by crafting compelling stories using creative and innovative design to support the sale of sponsorship assets such as in-stadium signage, Community Development programs, radio, social/digital sponsorships, hospitality, fan giveaways, customized promotions, etc.  Your number one goal—is to create visually appealing proposals and recaps to help drive revenue for the department. You will be responsible for helping bring these opportunities to life via customized presentation design and supporting storytelling solutions that utilize data and research metrics.  You will be an integral member during the storyboarding process and activation platform brainstorms, allowing you to create persuasive and effective visual communication.  Through compelling design principles and innovative strategies, you will transform data points and text-heavy information into memorable visual presentations that create maximum impact for the sales team.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
  • Develop customized creative sales materials designed to bring our clients and various sales opportunities to life by leading pre-sale ideation and creative solution development
  • Collaborate on the development of sponsorship proposals, partnership activation planning, copywriting, and storytelling 
  • Generate innovative and impactful ideas for partnership activations, leveraging the Orioles assets, platforms, and events to deliver value to sponsors
  • Work closely with other departments in the organization to identify and build sellable platforms and programs utilizing Orioles assets 
  • Ability to create, edit, and annotate graphic designs, multimedia files, charts, and videos into immersive storytelling formats
  • Assist in crafting compelling partnership proposals, integrating creative concepts and activation ideas that resonate with potential sponsors
  • Actively participate in storyboard development and ideation sessions
  • Maintain client identity and ensure consistency across a variety of mediums to deliver presentations that help close deals
  • Assist in performing quality assurance to ensure all materials are void of spelling and other grammatical errors
  • Handle schedule of inbound design requests and assignments with different priorities
  • Stay educated on sports sponsorship industry news and trends
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in design-related field and/or 2–4 years in a graphics-related field or freelance capacity
  • Must have good communication and excellent storytelling/copywriting/copyediting skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Canva, InDesign, Keynote, Sharepoint, and sales CRM software (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce) 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
  • Proficient writer with strong editing, grammar, and punctuation skills
  • Ability to express ideas graphically
  • Quality-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficiency while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset to solving challenges, willing to learn and share knowledge with peers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while communicating and collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Self-starter mentality  
  • Knowledge of the Baltimore Orioles and Major League Baseball
