The Yolo High Wheelers are the newest expansion team to the historic Pioneer Baseball League, a professional MLB Partner League. The High Wheelers are the second team of the league’s West Coast expansion. The High Wheelers are committed to providing a fun, innovative, and community focused baseball experience that puts Yolo and Solano County families first.
Job Description:
Ticket Takers and Ushers are members of the frontline at the ballpark! Ticket scanning at the main gate helps manage the flow of guests into the ballpark and scan those entering. The Ticket Takers and Ushers are sometimes the first point of contact for guests visiting the ballpark. This individual enjoys baseball, has conversational abilities and enjoys interacting with guests. Ushers also aid guests in finding seat locations as well as enforcing the stadium rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Ticket scanning and gate management customer service
- Assistance to guests around the ballpark
- Enforcement of venue rules and regulations
- May aid in distribution of giveaways
- Assistance of helping with egress after games
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to troubleshoot any minor technical issues.
- Strong customer service skills- you are the first point of contact for our fans!
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as baseball games can occur during non-traditional working hours.
- Previous experience, ability to troubleshoot ticketing preferred.
- Charming personality and positive conversational abilities
- Diplomatic in nature/ able to enforce rules and regulations
Compensation:
The offer range for this part time seasonal position is $16 per hour and this position runs from mid May to the end of the season in mid September.
