The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes, a Prospect League collegiate wood-bat summer league baseball team in Springfield, Illinois, are looking to hire a Field Manager for the upcoming 2025 Prospect League Season.
The ideal candidate would have an extensive baseball background and connections with NCAA, NJCAA, NAIA programs.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Recruit potential players to strengthen Springfield Lucky Horseshoes roster.
- In-game management of team and oversight of coaching staff
- Work with staff and players on development, providing training and instruction
- Responsible for final decisions on all aspects of on-field team strategy
- Enforce team rules
- Handle all practice and game-day preparations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the team including travel, itineraries, and communications
- Organize and conduct daily practices, pregame workouts, and batting practice
- Assist in promoting community events such as youth camps, appearances as directed by front office staff.
Qualifications:
Previous NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA Coaching experience preferred
