The Business Development Director will work closely with the VP, Partner Services, VP, Ticket Sales, Marketing and MLB Special Projects, and the President to impact the Sacramento business community with cutting edge and strategic corporate partnerships, ticket and suite memberships. The Business Development Director will sell for both the Sacramento River Cats and the A's at Sutter Health Park.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Responsible for generating and developing new business for ticket sales, suites and partnerships for the River Cats through cold calls, face to face meetings, networking, etc.
• Responsible for achieving and surpassing new business and renewal sales goals for ticket sales, suite sales, and corporate partnerships.
• Responsible for working with the VP, Ticket Sales, Marketing and MLB Special Projects to strategically target and sell corporate clientele premium ticket packages and suites.
• Responsible for working with the VP, Partner Services and the Partnership Services Team to create and execute Corporate Partnership Proposals, and Partnerships.
• Keep accurate sales files, customer service files, appointment schedule reports, etc.
• Maintain a high standard of integrity during the sales and service process with each customer.
• Works with Corporate Partnership Services team to develop accurate proposals and LOAs.
• Works with Event Services to implement sales themes, promotions and events.
• Network within the local business area to acquire new business.
• Adhere to departmental processes, expectations, and accountability measures, including but not limited to reporting on meetings, pending proposals, and inviting the VP, Partner Services and the President to partner meetings as appropriate.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated ability to connect potential partner objectives with assets/solutions that will meet those objectives.

• Ability to speak to and interact with high level prospects with confidence.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

LICENSES/EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• BA/BS in business, marketing, sports management, advertising, or another relevant field required.
• Successful partnership sales experience, preferably in the sports, tourism, or entertainment industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to travel locally.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

COMPENSATION:

This position is a full-time, exempt role with an expected annual salary of $66,560-$68,000 annually in addition to Commission which will be earned on new sales and renewals. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
