The Aberdeen IronBirds, Advanced-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are seeking applicants for the position of Partnerships Activation Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Partnerships & Marketing Department, successfully fulfilling the elements of partnerships roles with businesses of all sizes throughout the Harford, Cecil, and Baltimore County communities. The role will report directly to the Director of Partnerships & Marketing.
 
 Success within this role will be measured primarily through partner satisfaction with fulfillment of contracted elements and year over year contract renewals and secondarily through prospecting for and pitching new business in the Partnerships category. The Partnerships Activation Coordinator plays a major role in partner satisfaction and is the primary conduit between the team and existing partners. Effective coordination with other internal business units will lead to the most successful outcomes in fulfilling partnerships.
 
 Responsibilities:

  • Manage Partner contract fulfillment of elements including, but not limited to: 
    • In-Park Signage 
    • In-park marketing
    • Working with the Marketing and Creative Services to fulfill in-game promotions
    • Working with Marketing to fulfill digital marketing obligations including Social Media, website, MiLB.tv, and more 
    • Manage fulfillment of Partner ticketing and hospitality needs
    • Non-baseball events for Corporate Partners (batting practices, meetings, job fairs, partner-initiated community activations/appearances, etc.)
    • Acting as the primary point of contact with Operations Manager and Facilities Manager for fulfilling on-site partner needs 
    • Other elements as contracted 
  • Manage inventory of sold and unsold partnerships elements
  • Manage contract filing, invoicing of partners, tracking revenue
  • Assisting Director of Partnerships with managing expenses to budget
  • Managing fulfillment of Partner ticketing and hospitality needs
  • Performing market research about partnerships trends, and generating leads for Director of Partnerships
  • Attending and summarizing meetings with the Director of Partnerships
  • Creating partnerships proposals at the direction of the Director of Partnerships
  • Providing proof of performance and fulfillment recaps
  • Prospecting for new Partnerships clients through local canvassing, online research, and other methods
  • Pitch and close Partnerships business in industries/inventory categories assigned by the Director 
  • Other duties as assigned and necessary for fulfilling partner needs

 Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, other similar related field, or comparable work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial to this role; must understand and be understood effectively
  • A customer-service oriented mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective proficiency or fluency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • 1-3 years in marketing, administrative support, or sports a plus but not necessary
  • Previous experience with DigiDeck and/or ShoFlo, or similar, a plus but not necessary
  • Previous experience working with a sports or venue ticketing software a plus but not necessary
  • Previous experience and/or familiarity with SponsorUnited sponsorship scouting tool a plus but not necessary
  • Previous experience with Canva or other graphic design software a plus but not necessary
  • The willingness and enthusiasm to work 66+ home IronBirds games from start to finish, including nights and weekends, as well as other non-gameday partnerships fulfillment events
  • The ability to delegate effectively but with oversight to ensure proper fulfillment by seasonal interns or part-time employees
  • This job is physically demanding and will involve frequently lifting 25 or more pounds, walking and standing for hours at a time, and occasionally participating in athletic or physical activities
