Summary 
The Account Executive is a self-motivated individual that takes pride in relationship building and has an affinity for working with people to generate group and season ticket revenue.   The role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to inherit existing accounts and build their book of business and experience in the full menu of full and partial season ticket plans, group experiences, and hospitality (suites and party areas).  

 Reports to: Director, Ticket Sales

Responsibilities
 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills 
  • Provide customer service to existing accounts by visiting with them during games, as well as provide business program amenities, and make phone calls during the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact 
  • Prospect for new leads for ticket package and group outing sales opportunities within and around the surrounding community 
  • Maintain Database and add new leads to database  
  • Coordinate hospitality needs for customers with Operations and Catering departments 
  • Actively promote the Aberdeen IronBirds within the community through networking, promotional community events, and business meetings 
  • Other duties as assigned by Ticket Sales Director or club management 
Qualifications 
  • A bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field 
  • 1 – 3 years of previous sales experience 
  • Exceptional dedication to effective and timely communication and organization 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Ability to work all games for a full season professional baseball team, including nights and weekends from April through September, and select off-season events 
  • Previous internship in collegiate or professional sports  
  • Previous sales experience in a sales environment
