Job Summary:
The Retail Manager should be a passionate, hardworking, creative, well-organized individual who is a clear self-starter with strong customer service and sales skills.  They will manage the newly renovated Shuckers Shop at Keesler Federal Park and all e-commerce platforms.  They will work with management to design, order and fulfill merchandise as well as manage all points of sale.  This individual will oversee daily store operations while scheduling and providing direction to the retail staff during the baseball season and other events at Keesler Federal Park.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee merchandise design, purchasing, pricing and inventory
  • Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock and labeled correctly 
  • Communicate with licensed suppliers and adequately order inventory to keep the store properly stocked
  • Stay current with retail trends and incorporate ideas into the product mix
  • Rotate inventory from event to event to optimize sales opportunities 
  • Manage and fulfill e-commerce sales timely and efficiently 
  • Receive shipments from vendors and verify the accuracy of package contents
  • Work with marketing department on identifying and scheduling promotions and flash sales to optimize e-commerce opportunities and drive revenue
  • Monitor and manage the retail sales floor to ensure that customers are receiving an exceptional fan experience, the store presentation is clean and organized and safety standards are maintained
  • Demonstrate and train strong selling behaviors to retail staff
  • Assure proper execution of product set-up and visual merchandising strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • Experience in Shopify preferred
  • Professional experience in a high-volume retail operation
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box; react to issues in a constructive manner and be a proactive planner
  • Demonstrate knowledge of practices and principles of retail sales/management and accounting
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money and count change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • High level of integrity
  • Physical requirement (lifting 50 pounds many times per day, standing, squatting, and bending for long periods)
