SUMMARY

The Manager, Social Media will be responsible for daily content development, curation, and publishing across Brooklyn Nets social media channels. This role will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization, within Marketing and cross-departmentally, to develop content that supports business objectives.

The Manager will cover games, practices and team events, curating content and distributing in a timely, relevant manner, to foster growth and engagement.  The Manager will support the evolution of organic social channel strategies, support the development of best-in-class social content and craft stories in impactful ways to reach target audiences. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Pitch, produce, and curate content for Nets social media accounts
  • Manage the Nets content calendar and lead daily social publishing across multiple channels
  • Lead social copywriting in defined team voice, adjusting for channel, audience, and context
  • Support daily community management on Nets social media accounts
  • Build and execute distribution plans for priority platforms such as features, partner content, and tentpole marketing campaigns
  • Prepare reporting documents for internal/external clients that highlight goals, strategy, execution tactics, and benchmarking against KPIs 
  • Identify qualitative and quantitative trends and communicate insights, learnings, and recommendations for future content
  • Stay on top of internet/social media trends to identify and action new opportunities for the Nets

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in social media
  • Experience working in sports, media, entertainment and/or live events is very beneficial
  • Well-versed in the NBA, Nets, and basketball culture
  • Have a deep understanding of social media platforms and how users consume content
  • Strong visual eye for production and curation of social media content (photography, video, graphics, etc.)
  • Internet culture obsessed with knowledge of current and emerging trends, formats, and creators
  • Self-starter who looks to pitch and execute ideas consistently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to clearly present ideas
  • Strong team player who also has the ability to operate well independently
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and social media measurement tools such as Emplifi

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE:

$70,000 - $90,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
