SUMMARY

BSE Global (“BSE”) is a multifaceted sports and entertainment business that brings people together to experience music, sports, and culture through our teams and venue. The Senior Copywriter will play a crucial role in our Marketing department, orchestrating the development and execution of engaging copy that aligns with our strategic and objectives. This position will be part of a core team that crafts and delivers impactful campaigns across marketing channels for various BSE brands including the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center.

This individual will oversee the full cycle copywriting process, from conceptualization to final execution, crafting impactful copy that resonate with target audiences. The Copywriter will collaborate closely with colleagues across Creative, Brand Strategy, Content & Consumer Marketing to develop copy solutions that seamlessly integrate visuals with messaging.  Candidates should be prepared to present a portfolio showcasing their previous work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and present on-brief copy solutions that support the achievement of business goals, align with brand guidelines and are delivered on-timeline
  • Translate brand strategies via breakthrough concepts and compelling copy
  • Serve as a strategist and problem solver for the Marketing department, helping to drive brand voice forward, grow affinity and engage with target audiences
  • Support the creation of copy for a wide range of marketing assets inclusive of social, digital, web, app, email, out-of-home, arena signage and print
  • Support paid media campaigns and adapt copy to optimize for SEO, CTAs, etc.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and find elements of creative inspiration

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 10+ years copywriting experience at advertising agencies or in-house at brands
  • Experience working across sports, entertainment and/or media is very beneficial
  • Expertise writing copy across various marketing formats and channels
  • Strong understanding of and experience with 360 campaign development
  • Highly motivated, continually conceiving and presenting new ideas/concepts
  • Strong communicator with mastery of language, grammar & punctuation and the ability to write concise and persuasive copy
  • Self-starter, able to take projects from ideation to completion on-timeline
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, strategist and strong conceptual problem solver who can clearly articulate their ideas
  • Great collaborator, equally capable of leading projects and supporting as part of a cross-functional team
  • Deep understanding of popular culture, creative trends and modern language
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in impactful campaign copywriting
  • Proficiency working on the Mac platform with Adobe Creative, Keynote and Microsoft Office

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000 - $135,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works primarily in an office environment but is encouraged to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
