Summary

BSE Global (“BSE”) is a multifaceted sports and entertainment business that brings people together to experience music, sports, and culture through our teams and venue. BSE is developing a modern media company that champions the spirit and demeanor of Brooklyn and amplifies it to the world. Rooted in digital storytelling across all channels and formats, we will cultivate a highly engaged global audience by reaffirming the connective threads that tie sports, music, fashion and sneakers, and food not just to Brooklyn geographically, but in how they’re embedded into its DNA.

Job description – what you’ll do

  • Build an outstanding and consistent brand voice for Brooklyn Media on all our social platforms, showing excellent judgment and audience-sensitive framing
  • Develop, curate, and publish content across Brooklyn Media’s Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube channels
  • Work with social producers to develop, edit, and publish video content across all of Brooklyn Media’s social channels as needed
  • Attend and cover tentpole events, shooting content, editing, and covering in real-time
  • Lead community management, moderation, and DM management
  • Surface and pitch viral, breaking, and social-friendly content to our editorial news team
  • Own tentpoles and pegs and work with design team to develop platform-specific assets for big holidays and moments, developing own light creative assets when vital
  • Ideate, source, and build original real-time content for all Brooklyn Media audiences, identifying memes and trends at the cusp of virality
  • Participate in editorial and social brainstorms and cover meetings when needed
  • Serve as the point-person on all social goals (growth, traffic, views, and engagement) and is accountable for providing vertical-specific tactics, strategic pivots and added direction when needed
  • Track and share social and platform standard methodologies with internal teams, providing outstanding examples where possible
  • Handle workflow of editorial social posts, working with the branded social team to coordinate posting and schedules

Who you are

  • 4-6 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand
  • Strong writing and communication skills, proofreading experience, and quick decision-making skills
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends/holidays for coverage
  • Robust knowledge of current events + pop culture + sports + music.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to develop and stand up and optimize internal processes
  • Possess a deep understanding and proficiency of all social media platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Extensive knowledge of internet culture and proven track record in driving audience and consumer action on social
  • Self-management skills + take charge attitude
  • Positive, intuitive, proactive, and collaborative team player
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere Pro

Travel requirements

May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Salary range

$75,000-$95,000

Work environment

Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be encouraged to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
