Collaboration: Daily collaboration across the Integrated Marketing Team; Regular collaboration with teams across the organization including Brand Strategy, Marketing Operations, Creative and Content, Communications. 

Team Overview: Integrated Marketing is the heartbeat of the marketing department, building seamless and connected pathways to fans to drive growth and engagement. Considering the full marketing mix with a spotlight on digital and social, the integrated marketing team is responsible for developing and executing detailed marketing plans, derived from Brand Strategy with support from Marketing Operations. As fan and channel experts, Integrated Marketing understands and implements the best ways to connect with fans based on campaign objectives.

Position Summary: The Manager of International Marketing is responsible for driving global awareness of the Lakers brand and growing fandom internationally at a rapid scale. The ideal candidate is an expert on international fan engagement, keeping a pulse on and understanding cultural trends and nuances within priority international markets. As part of the larger Integrated Marketing plans, this role will promote key marketing initiatives such as tentpoles, seasonal milestones, and cultural moments within priority international markets with support and guidance from Brand Strategy, Marketing Operations, and the broader Integrated Marketing team. Efforts will focus on social and digital while considering other marketing touchpoints across paid, earned, and owned. 

Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities): 
Campaign Planning and Implementation
·       Leads planning and execution of international marketing plans across a wide variety of programming throughout the year to drive international fan engagement including for programs like City Edition, NBA All-Star, Christmas Day and more Partners closely with Global Corporate Partnerships to incorporate global partners into integrated marketing plans 
·       Develops a holistic story for fans in international markets to engage in the brand with limited direct transaction
·       Works with Brand Strategy to ensure international marketing efforts are in line with broader brand vision 
·       Works with Communications to integrate international media relations plans into omni-channel marketing plans
·       Works with Creative and Marketing Operations to brief in creative assets needed across campaigns, with attention to fan growth, high-performing engagement, integrated storytelling, global corporate partnerships inclusion and production requirements
·       Partners with Business Intelligence team to ensure reporting on international campaign performance and insights to implement learnings for future campaigns

Global Marketing Channels (Digital, Social, and more) 
·       Partners closely with the Digital and Social team to plan international fan growth and engagement opportunities 
·       Manages agency teams to build and implement plans across international digital and social platforms that optimize opportunities to drive growth across international markets
·       Maintains a strong pulse on international trends, culture, and nuances that drive fandom across the world and brings innovative ideas to the table
·       Works with Global Corporate Partnerships to include international partners across digital and social platforms, supporting both brand awareness and performance marketing objectives  
·       Researches, evaluates and implements opportunities across other marketing touchpoints (paid, earned, owned) to achieve international goals 

Game Day Digital and Social 
·       Partners with Digital and Social, Global Corporate Partnerships, and Marketing Operations to activate digital and social engagement across game day moments including global sponsorship marketing requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field; advanced and continuing education preferred. 

Previous Experience: 
·       Minimum 5 years in marketing with 2-3 years in international marketing 
·       Proven success launching and implementing marketing campaigns for high-profile brands
·       Proven success with global digital and social activations for a global brand
·       Agency engagement or management 

Technology Capabilities:
·       Adobe Creative Suite
·       Understanding of asset design and production requirements across digital and social platforms
·       Project Management Software (Jira, Trello, Wrike)
·       Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Knowledge, skills, abilities:
·       Ability to plan and deliver high-quality international marketing programs that support business needs 
·       Strong understanding of international market nuances, audience 
·       Experience marketing brands and products to consumers beyond a host market
·       Strong understanding of optimized digital experiences across channels and platforms 
·       Expert content planning and content integration to maximize channels and production while understanding need for bespoke opportunities and continual evaluation of best practices
·       Ability to brief innovative and creative digital assets that fit within mandatory parameters including league rules, short timelines, and limited budget 
·       Ability to incorporate digital strategies into wider integrated international marketing plans 
·       Ability to simultaneously manage multiple programs at varying scales with mixed deadlines
·       Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, dynamic environment and make instant, quality decisions
·       Detail-oriented and a logical approach to problem solving 
·       A passion for basketball and sports business 

The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $105,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
