Position Summary:
We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our South Bay Lakers Strand Crew! The Strand Crew will help with the promotion of the South Bay Lakers organization through all home games. This is a part-time seasonal position for the 2024-2025 NBA G League Season. 
 
Members of the Strand Crew will receive valuable experience, working closely with the game operations and entertainment department to create an unforgettable fan experience at all home games. The South Bay Lakers play all their home games at the UCLA Health Training Center in El Segundo, home of the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)
  • Work each of the 24 regular season home games for the South Bay Lakers, as scheduled, as well as all     postseason home games, when applicable
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for the South Bay Lakers and Los Angeles Lakers Organization
  • Greet fans as they enter the arena and distribute promotional items
  • Select fans to participate in various contests taking place throughout the game, and manage the                  execution of all necessary waivers
  • Facilitate all on-court activity, contests and fan engagement elements
  • Maintain a clean and organized entertainment tunnel
  • Provide additional support on theme nights, and with larger department projects, as needed
  • Interact with fans to help build an electric atmosphere
  • Assist with game day activations through the group sales department (Anthem performers, halftime               groups, pre-game experiences, etc.)

Previous Experience: 
  • Preferred 1 year in a customer service role 
  • Experience in sports or live events
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent time management skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Exude an outgoing, energetic personality 
  • Comfortable working, and taking direction, in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to upholding the policies, procedures, and schedule, as set by the organization
  • Knowledge of the South Bay Lakers and Los Angeles Lakers Organization 
 
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and be able to run on/off court in short amount of time

Location: El Segundo, CA

Hours: Must be available to work all regular season home games – as required and scheduled – including nights and weekends

The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
