The Atlanta Dream is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Director, Ticket Operations to join our team. This position is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and management for ticketing operations. This person will lead all aspects of ticket and box office operations for events occurring at the sporting facility and manage our internal CRM processes for operational efficiency. This position will work in close collaboration with the entire organization to ensure cohesion and synergy, especially regarding ticket sales, database management and CRM efficiencies. A strong focus on ticketing systems, manifest creation and the proven ability to operate independently are essential.
 
As the Director, Ticket Operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of ticketing operations for the Atlanta Dream. You will oversee the internal controls of the ticketing systems, box office standard practices and profitability of the department. The ideal candidate will have significant experience building complex events in ticketing systems (Ticketmaster and Archtics), managing ticketing inventory, and monitoring and maintaining accurate data. Creating and verifying financial reports and ticket forecasting initiatives via the ticketing systems platform for internal and external partners. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research, develop and implement effective process(es) to streamline and/or improve current ticketing/box office processes
  • Responsible for accurate and timely event builds in the ticketing system (Ticketmaster and Archtics), including scaling maps, seating manifests, price tables, holds/kills, discounts, presales, etc.
  • Recommend policies and procedures to ensure the box office team provides consistent responses that align with the Atlanta Dream mission and values
  • Work closely with Executive Management as well as the Strategic Partnership and Marketing departments to plan and implement sales strategy and new programs to drive organizational revenue
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the box office, premium ticketing and ticketing operation
  • Oversee all financial reconciliation with regard to daily reports, monthly reporting and event settlements
  • Create effective sales projection and revenue reports, submits reports to applicable departments including finance and executive management
  • Responsible for the ticketing systems administration and upgrades including communicating between Ticketmaster and internal team members of system changes and event changes 
  • Work closely with internal team members to execute timely on-sales, special promotions and reports for event settlements
  • Serve as the point of contact with promoter and Ticketmaster to ensure accuracy of event set-up for ticket sales
  • Direct the ticket inventory to include approving holds, changing ticket types and other inventory tools as necessary on events
  • Future potential for managing and mentoring associates 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience in events, sporting or entertainment ticketing preferred with at least five (5) years supervising and/or managing ticketing operations
  • Experience with modeling as well as aggregating, transforming and reporting data
  • Advanced experience with databases/CRMs – Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce
  • Time management and multi-tasking superstar 
  • Delegate, manage and oversee others work
  • Must be available to attend all Atlanta Dream home games. Games/events may take place on nights, weekends and/or holidays.

  • Analyze and extract data from reports related to ticket sales and financial forecasting

  • Prepare and interpret applicable finance and business reports
  • Possess exceptional guest services skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships with executives, peers, team and associates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software
