Volt Up Sales Academy Job Description
The Dallas Wings are looking for the next sales and service super star to join the inaugural class of the Volt Up Sales Academy.  This position will feature hands-on entry-level sales training and learn to generate revenue through new business ticket sales for the WNBA’s Dallas Wings.  This Inside Sales Consultant role is a temporary 8-12 month training position and offers a competitive salary and opportunity to earn commission.
 
Members of the Volt Up Sales Academy are responsible for generating revenue through full menu selling by cold calling, setting face to face meetings and relationship building, as well as data collection through grassroots marketing efforts.
 
Our MISSION is to be a launching pad for next generation sports sales leaders with hands on training and experience with a VISION to provide a fun, engaging, industry best sports sales training programming to propel individuals to becoming industry sales leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Attend off site grassroots marketing events to generate leads to call
  • Generate revenue through cold calling, face to face appointments, arena tours, event selling, prospecting and networking
  • Manage a sales pipeline to exceed season revenue goal
  • Meet or exceed daily and weekly hustle metrics
  • Responsible for selling new full season tickets, flex plans and group tickets
  • Provide top notch customer service to all prospective and current clients
  • Maintain a detailed database of our members and document all touch points in CRM
  • Perform game-day responsibilities, including entertaining clients and creating new business opportunities
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with local civic and corporate contacts
  • Follow the contact management guidelines
  • Participate and contribute to weekly sales and service department huddles and training sessions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of sports and sports teams.

  • A self-starter that is solution-oriented to help handle and resolve difficult situations in a calm and professional manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and in a professional manner.  
  • Ambitious and innovative; a creative thinker that uses unique approaches to develop a relationship with current and/or prospective members. 
  •  Ability to drive independent results, while simultaneously act as a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
  •  Work Location & Hours: Work is performed in the community, office and/or at one of the arenas as determined necessary by the Company.  Must be available to attend all home games for Dallas and other special events.  Games & events may take place on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.    

Physical Requirements 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. 
  • Hearing, seeing, reading, writing, concentration, comprehension, and talking with clear speech. 
  • Planning, organizing, interpreting data, making decisions, problem-solving, and composure under deadlines/stress.
