- Assist customers with their merchandise needs in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized merchandise store before, during, and after games.
- Restock merchandise shelves and displays as needed to ensure products are readily available.
- Provide product knowledge and answer customer inquiries about team apparel, memorabilia, and other items.
- Assist in setting up and tearing down merchandise kiosks or booths as required for special events or promotions.
- Promote sales and special promotions to maximize merchandise sales during games.
- Collaborate with other gameday workers and team members to create a positive and cohesive customer experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the store manager or supervisor.
- Help maintain accurate sales records and assist in reconciling cash registers at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including security protocols for high-value merchandise.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the Texas Legends, exemplifying a professional and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Stay informed about the team's schedule, upcoming events, and promotions to better assist customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment, especially during game days.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry merchandise boxes as needed.
- Be able to work weekdays and weekends
