Kings University starts October 15, 2024, and runs through the 24-25 season!

Job Summary:

The Ticket Sales & Service Internship is an incredible opportunity to start a sales career in the sports industry with an organization committed to professional growth and career development.  The Ticket Sales & Service Intern will experience every aspect of the ticket sales operation in addition to a 360-degree view of the organization while developing the skill set needed to succeed in the sports industry through recurring sales and product training.

The primary responsibility of the Ticket Sales & Service Interns is to help the Ticket Sales & Service team build relationships with potential prospects interested in purchasing Season Ticket Memberships, ticket plans, suite rentals, group tickets, and student tickets.


The ideal candidate is passionate about starting a sales career in the sports industry, possesses a strong work ethic, and is determined to succeed in an ultra-competitive, fast-paced, and enriching work environment.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Builds relationships with prospective customers via outbound communication efforts and enhances those relationships through face-to-face and virtual appointments
  • Outbound communication to past ticket buyers via phone and email to drive face-to-face appointments for the Ticket Sales & Service team.
  • Grow student ticket database through college outreach, student events, and on-campus contacts.
  • Utilizes technology to establish and develop relationships with potential customers.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding individual and team performance and developmental goals.
  • Assists with gameday duties including but not limited to sales table, fan experience offerings, and hosting tours for prospective ticket plan buyers.
  • Actively participates in sales training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • College Majors in Business, Sports Management, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Rising junior or senior currently enrolled in a local accredited college or university
  • Dependability is key: consistently punctual and prepared for a fast-paced environment, executes instructions, and embraces coaching
  • High level of confidence, enthusiasm, and personal accountability
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work Kings games and events on nights/weekends
  • Available to work up to 25 hours per week

The Ticket Sales & Service Intern will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
